PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card that can shorten an entire processing time for file access to the IC card by collectively reading out different records in different records stored in a storage unit in the IC card.SOLUTION: An IC card in an embodiment includes a communication unit, a control unit, and a storage unit, and it receives a command transmitted from an external terminal, interprets and executes the command, and transmits its result as a response to the external terminal. At that time, if a command data portion stored in the storage unit specifies a plurality of different record files and a record number for each record file, the control unit sets data read-out according to the specified record numbers per group of the plurality of record files to a transmission buffer provided in the storage unit.
