This database construction device is equipped with: a table store unit for storing a first table having one or more records which have m (m = 3) attribute values of different attributes, and two or more second tables having one or more records having n (n = m-1) attribute values of different attributes; a rule store unit for storing rules for acquiring one or more records having the n attribute values from a Web page; an acquisition unit for acquiring one or more records having the n attribute values from a Web page according to the rules in order to append the records to the second table; and a join unit for joining two or more records possessed by the two or more second tables to generate a record having the m attribute values in order to append the record to the first table. By way of this database construction device, it is possible to resolve the problem, in a conventional terminology extraction device, of not being able to extract two or more related terms of terminology or to extract information other than the terminology, and therefore, it is possible to compile a database for any information upon the Web. |
