PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment coil which can be small-sized and is capable of effectively preventing deterioration of insulation coating, a manufacturing method of the segment coil and a stator employing the segment coil.SOLUTION: Segment coils 12 are disposed while being aligned in a slot of a stator core 11. Each segment coil 12 comprises a coil center portion C which is accommodated within the slot and two coil end portions E1, E2 which protrude outside. Between the two coil end portions E1, E2, the coil end portion E1 includes a pair of coil pieces B1, B2 which are formed by tilting the coils at different angles toward the coil center portion C with an apex interposed therebetween, and any one of the pair of coil pieces includes a recessed step portion D comprised of two sides which are angular in non-parallel with each other, with respect to an end face 11d of the stator core 11 in an area in the vicinity of the apex. |
