The hot water tank (1) comprises a tank casing (4) that stores the warm water. An inlet connecting piece (6) supplies cold water into the tank casing. A discharge connecting piece (8) removes the warm water from the tank casing. A pressure relief device (2) is formed to provide a fluid connection between the inlet connecting piece and discharge connecting piece during a pressure relief. The pressure relief device is provided with a relief bypass unit (3) and a closure unit (7).
