Device and method for manufacturing slot pipes made of sheet panels

The method involves supplying a sheet panel (3) to a pipe forming press (1) in which the sheet panel is molded to a slot pipe through application of bending force, where the slot pipe is provided with longitudinal edges. The slot pipe is manufactured with an irregular blank mold while a small molding of the sheet panel is carried out in a bending stage caused at an inner side of the sheet panel. The manufactured slot pipe is removed through application of pressing force in smaller areas formed in the center, where the pressing force acts outwardly on the blank mold. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing cylindrical slot pipes from thick sheet panels.
