This patent application provides a method and an apparatus for unlocking a screen of an electronic device. The screen has a touch display screen that is substantially rectangular. When the screen is in a screen saving state, a motion track input by a user on the screen is received. When the motion track passes through a first area and a second area of the screen, the screen exits from the screen saving state. The first area is a screen area at a distance of less than a preset value m from a first edge of the screen, and the second area is a screen area at a distance of less than a preset value n from a second edge opposite to the first edge. The technology can unlock the screen saver based on a touch track that starts nearby the first edge of the screen and ends nearby the second edge of the screen, thereby implementing an easy-to-operate screen unlocking manner. |
