A medical device is provided which performs a display in which a user can easily and intuitively know a position in a subject where an image is captured. A medical device 1 includes a feature information calculation unit 141 that calculates feature information representing a feature of each image, an image classification unit 143 that classifies a series of images into a plurality of groups in time sequence according to the similarity between the images, a position axis average color bar generation unit 145 that generates a position axis average color bar in which pieces of the feature information are arranged in time sequence in a specified area on a screen, a display area calculation unit 144 that calculates a display area for each group, where feature information of images belonging to each of the plurality of groups is displayed, in the position axis average color bar, based on the number of groups of the plurality of groups, and a display unit 15 that displays the position axis average color bar. The position axis average color bar generation unit 145 arranges the feature information of images belonging to each of the plurality of groups in the display area for each group calculated by the display area calculation unit 144. |
