PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a resin composition containing cellulose nanofibers, having a low linear thermal expansion coefficient, high light transmittance and high thermal stability can be easily produced.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a resin composition containing cellulose nanofibers and an acrylic resin or a methacrylic resin. The method comprises: (A) a step of obtaining a mixture of cellulose nanofibers obtained by oxidizing natural cellulose fibers in the presence of an N-oxyl compound, a dispersion medium, and an acrylic monomer or a methacrylic monomer, (B) a step of obtaining a gelatinous body by removing the dispersion medium from the mixture, and (C) a step of subjecting the acrylic monomer or a methacrylic monomer in the gelatinous body to a polymerization reaction. |
