摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery which improves rate characteristics and cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: The electrode material contains conductive carbon powder and nano particles of a cathode active material containing a layered xLiMO(1-x)LiMnOsolid solution (in the formula, M denotes one or more kinds of transition metals of which the average valence is +3, and 0<x<1) deposited to the conductive carbon powder, and spinel LiMnOin the ratio of 100 to 80:0 to 20 in a mass ratio. The electrode material can be obtained by carrying a fine precursor of the cathode positive material on the conductive carbon powder by using ultracentrifugal treatment and then performing flash heating treatment for three to five minutes at the temperature of 600 to 700°C in an oxygen containing atmosphere.
