PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote downsizing of a surface-mounted connector.SOLUTION: A terminal includes a leg having a soldered portion to be soldered on a board and a protruding portion protruding from the leg in an orthogonal direction thereto. The terminal is fitted in a housing holding the leg at a holding groove provided on the housing. The holding groove is provided with a convex engage part for holding the leg in a press-in state, and the leg is pressed in the convex engage part. Concave parts are formed at both sides of the leg in a width direction, and when the leg is pressed in the convex engage part, a part of the convex engage part dug into the concave parts, and shoulder portions formed with vertical walls of the concave parts are engaged with the convex engagement part in a slip-off direction of the protruding portion. The leg is held by the holding groove resisting the protruding portion slipping off, so that a wall provided with a holding hole is not necessarily thick in a structure where the protruding portion having a contact part and the holding hole includes frictional engagement force generated therebetween so as to protect themselves from slipping off. Consequently, the housing can be prevented from being large in size. |
