PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle display device that enables improvement in convenience.SOLUTION: The vehicle display device comprises an on-vehicle instrument 102 that includes: a first GPS device 211 that detects a current position of a vehicle 100; a gyro sensor 212 that detects an advancing direction of the vehicle 100; and control means 201 causing display means 203 to operate. When the on-vehicle instrument 102 and an external device 103 are interconnected, the control means 201 causes the display device 203 in order to display route guide information on the display means 203, and when the on-vehicle instrument 102 and the external device 103 is in a state where the on-vehicle instrument 102 and the external device 103 not interconnected, calculates the shortest distance from a current position to a destination and an azimuth of the destination when viewed from the current position on the basis of information on the current position and information on the destination, and causes the display means 203 so that a user is notified of the route guide information as abbreviated route guide information composed of information on the shortest distance (shortest distance information 320) and information on the azimuth of the destination (azimuth information 310). |
