The toothbrush (10) has a neck region (12) connected with a grip region and carrying a head region (14) opposite to the grip region. The head region has a bristle supporting element (22) for receiving bristles bunched out from a top supporting element opening to an upper side (28). The supporting element is elastically moved opposite to the neck region. The supporting element is elastically connected with the neck region via a foil-type hard film (24). The hard film externally extends around the top supporting element opening, in a flush fashion. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a toothbrush.
