According to one embodiment, a foreign language writing support apparatus includes following units. The input unit receives input of a sentence in a foreign language including a word in another language. The dictionary search unit performs a dictionary search for the word to acquire a translated word. The candidate generation unit generates one or more foreign language sentence candidates including a first foreign language sentence candidate generated by replacing the word in the other language with the translated word. The display unit displays the foreign language sentence candidates together with the machine translation results. |
