PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press felt for papermaking that has a thin resin processed layer of more even thickness than before within a front batt layer, and to provide a producing method thereof.SOLUTION: A felt 10 of this invention comprises: a base fabric layer 11 placed between a papermaking surface 10a and a traveling surface 10b; a front batt layer 12 placed along the base fabric layer 11 on a side of the papermaking surface 10a; and a resin processed layer 125 formed inside the front batt layer 12. The resin processed layer 125 includes a fiber group 125f constituting the front batt layer 12 and a processing resin 125p impregnating the fiber group 125f. The resin 125p is made by fusing and solidifying continuous fibers constituting a continuous fiber nonwoven fabric 123. A producing method comprises processes to: obtain a laminated body in which a batt layer material constituting the papermaking surface and a batt layer material constituting the traveling surface are laminated in this order; form the resin processed layer 125 by fusing and solidifying a nonwoven fabric layer between both those batt layer materials. |
