Wireless remote control with tactile interface for multimedia and hands-free telephony equipment for an automobile

The remote control has a casing with a body (12) for supporting a visible face having zones forming a circular shaped control button (20) and side buttons (22a, 22b, 24a, 24b) with a set of central and side touch sensors e.g. capacitive sensors. The central button is provided with a multizone touch pad that is activatable in different manners according to the movement of the finger of a user over a surface of the pad. A selector unit selects a control signal according to one of the sensors activated by contacting with one of the buttons based on detection of transition state of a side switch.
