An edge apparatus to aid stacking of collapsible containers, comprising two arms 201, 202 extending along a common axis; and a connecting portion 203 at the inner ends of the arms to releasably engage the arms in a fixed position. Preferably, the apparatus is adjustable in length by extension of the arms with the connecting portion preventing movement. Preferably, the arms define L-shaped corner pieces with side sections 206, 207 with upward flanges 213 and locating lugs 209; and have channels to receive upper edge of container. Preferably, the connecting portion and arms comprise toothed locking members (309, 310, figures 3b & 3b, 406 figure 4a); the connection portion has a spine and two side flaps, connected with live hinges, which have an aperture to define a handle with protruding collars (410); that mechanically couple with clips (411, 412);.
