A pet grooming tool (10) comprising:
a pet engageable portion (100) having a plurality of teeth (106), the plurality of teeth (106) being arranged in a row, wherein the pet engageable portion (100) is generally rectangular and comprises a front surface (102) and a rear surface (104), wherein the front surface (102) is parallel to the rear surface (104), and wherein the plurality of teeth (106) extend downward at the bottom of the pet engageable portion (100); and
a handle portion (14), wherein the handle portion (14) is secured to the pet engageable portion (100),
wherein each tooth (106) of an adjacent pair of teeth (106) intersects the other at a root (108), and wherein each tooth (106) becomes narrower as it extends downward and terminates at a rounded or otherwise blunted tip (110), wherein the roots (108) are angled obliquely from the rear surface (104) of the pet engageable portion (100) to form an edge (112) having an acute inside angle, wherein the acute inside angle is between thirty and fifty degrees.
The grip portion (16) and the handle portion (14) are made from a polymeric material, wherein the grip portion (16) is made from a polymeric material that is softer than the polymeric material used to form the handle portion (14). |
