PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article classification device that can efficiently carry multiple articles to a reception position with a transfer means and thus operates with high efficiency compared to conventional devices.SOLUTION: Transfer means 8 comprises a pair of temporary stages 21 and 21, and the temporary stages are reciprocated alternately between a reception position A and a delivery position B via a timing belt 18 and the like. When four LED elements 2 which have gone through a quality inspection are placed onto the temporary stage 21 at the reception position A from inspection means 3 by a discharge mechanism 14, the temporary stage 21 is moved to the delivery position B. The four LED elements 2 on the temporary stage 21 carried to the delivery position B are held at a time by a handling unit 6 and then sequentially distributed onto a prescribed classification tray T. During the distribution, the four inspected LED elements 2 are sequentially loaded onto the empty temporary stage 21 on standby at the reception position A by the discharge mechanism 14. |
