There is described a closing unit for an injection-moulding machine having a stationary platen (1) and a movable platen (2), having columns (3) between the platens (1, 2), and having locking elements (7a, 7b) which can be inserted into and extracted from the columns (3). One end of the columns projects into closing-force cylinders (8) and is in the form of a piston (9) therein. At least the closing-force side of the piston, and preferably both sides of the piston (9), can be acted on by a pressure medium. In order to improve the positional accuracy between the column and the locking elements, it is provided according to the invention that the pistons (9) are each provided with a spindle/nut combination (14, 15), wherein either the nut (14) is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the piston (9) and the spindle (15) is set in rotation by a movement of the column (3), or the spindle (15) is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the piston (9) and the nut (14) is set in rotation by a movement of the column (3), and wherein a blocking device (18, 19), by way of which the rotation of the rotating part of the respective spindle/nut combination can be blocked, is provided. |
