A shaping insert (4) for an item of women's clothing (1) for supporting the bust has a curved insert (5) which has two insert portions (6, 7) which run substantially parallel to one another, are arranged vertically one above the other and are connected to one another in respective end regions (8, 9) of the insert (5). The two insert portions (6, 7) are connected to one another via at least one crosspiece (10) arranged between the end regions (8, 9). The at least one crosspiece (10) runs in a non-radial direction in relation to the curved insert (5), so as to act as a spring element between the two insert portions (6, 7). In the case of the upper insert portion (6) being subjected to force, said portion moves in the direction of the lower insert portion (7), as a result of which the two end regions (8, 9) of the insert (5) move towards one another. |
