Embodiments of the invention provide a base assembly for supporting a free standing structure such as a tent. The base assembly is configurable such that a base can be positioned in a generally horizontal orientation to support and stabilize a stationary structure. In some cases the base can be positioned in a generally vertical orientation to allow the base assembly to roll along a support surface, thus providing a ready and easily configurable manner of transporting the base assembly and any structure attached thereto. |
