PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler with a feed water preheater, in which the occurrence of water leakage at the feed water preheater can be detected.SOLUTION: There is provided a boiler 1 to which water feeding is performed by intermittently operating a feed water pump 9, and which includes a feed water preheater 7. The feed water preheater 7 has a water pipe 3 for passing feed water to the boiler and provided in an exhaust gas passage 2 for passing combustion exhaust gas from the boiler 1. The feed water preheater 7 preheats the feed water to the boiler 1 by heating the water pipe 3 by the combustion exhaust gas. A water pipe inlet side in the feed water preheater 7 is provided with an inlet side check valve 5, a water pipe outlet side is provided with an outlet side check valve 6. A pressure detecting device 4 for detecting water pressure in the feed water preheater 7 is arranged between the two check valves. During a boiler operation, if the water pressure of the boiler feed water detected by the pressure detecting device 4 is lower than a prescribed value, it is determined that water leakage occurs at the feed water preheater 7. |
