PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane electrode structure with a highly-durable resin frame.SOLUTION: A membrane electrode structure 12 with a resin frame comprises: a membrane electrode structure 125 in which an anode catalyst layer 124b and an anode diffusion layer 124a are laminated on one surface of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 120, a cathode catalyst layer 122b and a cathode diffusion layer 122a are laminated on the other surface, and a step 125b is formed in an outer peripheral end 125a because the anode diffusion layer 124a has a smaller plane dimension than the cathode diffusion layer 122a; and a resin frame 126 provided lateral to the membrane electrode structure 125. A filler 128 is filled in the gap between the resin frame 126 and an outer peripheral end surface 124c of the anode diffusion layer 124a. Young's modulus at 23°C of the filler 128 is 1.0 to 30 MPa. |
