PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both improvement in gas discharge performance and safety when the internal pressure of a cell case rises.SOLUTION: In an electric cell 14, a lid 30 and a case 62 are joined together, and an easy cleavage part 42 is provided in part of a junction 40 thereof. The easy cleavage part 42 is provided in the whole region of a short junction 44, among the junction 40, the short junction being located at an upper end on short-side face of the case 62, and is provided also in an adjacent region 48b adjacent to the short junction 44 of a long junction 46 located at an upper end on long-side face of the case 62. The adjacent region 48B is provided in the range of a distance L1 as referenced to a short side 34 on the left side of the lid 30, the distance L1 being set to shorter than half a distance L2 between the short side 34 on the left side of the lid 30 and a left-side end part of a conductive plate 32B. This ensures that, even when a left-side end part of the lid 30 is turned up, the turned-up lid 30 and the conductive plate 32B are prevented from contacting. |
