375,169. Turbine blades. SOC. POUR LA FABRICATION DES MOTEURS ET TURBINES, 38, Rue des Haies, Paris. Oct. 19, 1931, No. 29005. Convention date, Oct. 18, 1930. [Class 110 (iii).] Turbine blades 8 have root portions 7 which are clamped between channel-shaped crown rings 4 by the bolts 5 which secure the rings to the rotor side-plates 1. The principal mass of the rings 4 is separated from the plates 1 to prevent conduction of heat. At the periphery the blades have tongues 13 which are clamped between channelled shrouding rings 12. These rings minimize the effects of centrifugal force. The blades may be cut from stock of circular section. The structure may be readily dismantled, and is suitable for a turbine to be operated by combustion products.
|
