PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that generates an image showing a boundary for separating between a main subject and a background in an image with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A lens driving unit 15 drives a lens 10 so as to pick up two images with different viewpoint positions by an image pickup element 12. A positional deviation correction unit 30 moves to a position of a main subject of a reference image among the two images a main subject of the other comparison object image. An edge extraction unit 40 generates edge images from the reference image and the comparison object image to positioning is performed. A maximum value selection unit selects a larger one of pixel values of the two edge images so as to generate edge images of the main subject and a background. A difference calculation unit 60 calculates a difference absolute value of the pixel values of the two edge images. An extraction unit 70 reduces an image obtained in the difference calculation unit 60 from the image obtained in the maximum value selection unit so as to obtain an edge image of the main subject. |
