PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment coil in which partial discharge can be prevented effectively between an adjacent coil because insulation can be ensured at a part subjected to bending, while enhancing the space factor of a stator, and to provide the stator using the segment coil.SOLUTION: A segment coil includes a straight portion to be housed in the slot of an annular core, and a coil end portion extending from the slot. The coil end portion includes a hypotenuse portion formed in substantially chevron shape with a central portion as an apex, and a bend portion where the coil is bent in the axial direction of the annular core from the hypotenuse portion across the straight portion. An additional insulation layer is provided in predetermined regions of the hypotenuse portion and the bend portion. |
