PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the indexing accuracy of the rotation angle of a rotational transfer shaft and facilitate the attaching work to the rotational transfer shaft.SOLUTION: The rotation angle measuring apparatus includes: an encoder body 26 whose rotation is regulated within a certain range in any rotation shaft direction; an encoder shaft 22 that is connected to the encoder body 26 and is supported rotatably in the whole circumferential direction of the encoder body 26; a rotary encoder 12 for detecting the relative rotation angle of the encoder shaft 22 with respect to the encoder body 26; a laser interference unit 40 for detecting the rotation angle of the encoder body 26 with reference to the position at which the laser interference unit 40 does not contact with the encoder shaft 22 and encoder body 26; and synchronization controlling means for synchronizing the detection of the rotation angle by the rotary encoder 12 with the detection of the rotation angle by the laser interference unit 40. |
