PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image forming apparatus and a control method thereof capable of maximizing a power-saving effect without sacrificing isochronism of data transfer.SOLUTION: The present invention provide an image forming apparatus which comprises in an image processing part plural PCI Express devices. Each of the PCI Express devices includes a line utilization rate measurement section which measures a line utilization rate in data transfer; and an ASPM use propriety determination section which controls the ASPM to be enabled only when the line utilization rate is smaller than a predetermined line utilization rate threshold. |
