PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start safety device configured to prevent contact or collision with a moving object existing around a vehicle at the start of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A determination is made as to whether a vehicle is parked/stopped or not (S10). When the vehicle is parked/stopped, a surrounding monitoring camera is started to photograph surroundings of the vehicle, and when a moving object exists in a monitoring start range A, the start safety device starts monitoring of the moving object (S12, S14). When the moving object moves into a warning range B, a monitoring image of the moving object is stored in an information recording part (S16, S18). When the vehicle is ready to start and the moving object exists in the warning range B, the monitoring image of the moving object stored in the information recording part and character information indicating possibility of contact or collision between the vehicle and the moving object are displayed on a monitor (S22, S24, S26). When the moving object moves beyond a monitoring end range C, storing the image of the moving object is terminated (S22). |
