PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gamut database generating system which easily generates a gamut database for acquiring types of base inks which reproduce colors of compound inks to be compounded in accordance with a material of a base to be colored and a compound ratio of respective inks when a designer selects colors.SOLUTION: A gamut database generating system includes: a base ink selecting section for selecting base inks used for generating a compound ink with attribute data which are previously set; a combination design section for setting a compound group of the plurality of base inks which adjust the color of the compound ink; an initial compound setting section for setting a compound ratio of the respective base inks of the compound group; a spectral reflection factor calculating section for acquiring a spectral reflection factor of the compound ink by the compound group for each compound ratio; and a coordinate value calculating section for acquiring the color of the compound ink in a color space from the spectral reflection factor. A coordinate value, the compound group, the compound ratio, the spectral reflection factor and the attribute data are made to correspond to each other to be written into an external database. |
