PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator that can generate large amount of nano mist and negative ions.SOLUTION: A mist generator includes: a cylindrical rotating body 9 that has a lower end submerged in water within a water storage chamber and rotates to pump up and scatter the water; a mist motor 14 for driving the rotating body 9; a porous body 13 with which the water scattered from the rotating body 9 collides; and a control part for controlling a mist operation for supplying nano mist and negative ions generated by rotating the rotating body 9 from an air blowing port to an indoor side by driving an air blowing motor. Scattering ports 22 are formed at a plurality of stages in the upper entire circumference of the rotating body 9, and positions of the scattering ports 22 at the upper and lower stages are formed to be aligned in a zigzag manner. Thus, since this configuration reduces water that drops without scattering from the scattering ports 22 to surrounding areas, water can be scattered to the surrounding areas efficiently, so as to increase generation of the nano mist and negative ions. |
