PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular door latch that eliminates unnecessary movements of various elements in normal door closing operation, and can quickly close a door without forcing a passenger to perform special operation if an abnormal state occurs.SOLUTION: Release cancel mechanisms 42, 43 do not operate by initial door closing operation of an inside handle IH, but change from a connection state in which power of a motor-driven release mechanism 32 can be transmitted to a ratchet 9 to a disconnection state in which the connection state is discontinued associatively with later-stage operation after the initial operation ends. When the release cancel mechanisms 42, 43 change to the disconnection state, a release restriction state in which the ratchet 9 is restrained in a state of release operation is reset and the ratchet 9 is allowed to return to an engagement position so as to enable the door to be closed. |
