PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device and an image forming apparatus where sheets can be stably stacked on a sheet stacking part even when the sheets are obliquely discharged.SOLUTION: Sheets whose images are read by an image reading part and which are discharged by a discharge part are discharged to a discharge tray 10. A protruded part is provided on the lateral side of the discharge tray 10 in the cross direction perpendicular to a sheet discharging direction. Then, a discharging-direction correcting part 30, which is provided on the upper face of the discharge tray 10 along the sheet discharging direction and formed so that a height B of a peak point 33 on the opposite side to the protruded part is greater than a height C of a peak point 34 on the side of the protruded part, corrects the discharging direction of the sheets to be discharged in the direction of leaving the protruded part to be a direction along the sheet discharging direction. |
