PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can detect turn-on and off of each of two interlock switches connected in series to a power source line, and can detect opening and closing of each of two covers.SOLUTION: A first interlock switch 80 and a second interlock switch 81, which are turned on and off according to opening and closing of a first cover and a second cover, are connected in series to a power source line. The first interlock switch 80 is connected to a power source voltage (24 V) when being turned on, and connected to a detection voltage (3.3 V) that is lower than the power source voltage and does not operate a load 90 when being turned off. A control unit 3 detects opening and closing of the first cover and second cover on the basis of the voltage of the power source line between the first interlock switch 80 and second interlock switch 81 and the voltage of the power source line between the second interlock switch 81 and load 90. |
