PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric that has excellent formation and includes colored highly crimped fibers as a main component.SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric includes colored highly crimped fibers as a main component and has an average formation index of 0.17 or less. The nonwoven fabric can be produced for example by the steps of: (1) forming a fiber web that includes latent crimpable fibers as a main component; (2) applying an entangling action to the fiber web to form an entangled fiber web; and (3) applying heat to the entangled fiber web to develop the latent crimpable fibers, and when making them into highly crimped fibers, shrinking the entangled fiber web to form a shrunk fiber web; and (4) coloring the shrunk fiber web to produce a nonwoven fabric. |
