Embodiments provide methods, apparatuses and computer programs for providing a user plane address, more specifically, but not exclusively based on a transformation of a control plane address. The method for providing a user plane address for at least one mobile transceiver (200) in a mobile communication system (300) further comprising at least one mobile communication system infrastructure entity (100) configured to communicate with the at least one mobile transceiver (200) via a user plane communication channel (320), the mobile transceiver (200) being controlled via a control plane communication channel (310). The method comprises obtaining (12) a control plane address for the at least one mobile transceiver (200). The method further comprises determining (14) a user plane address for the at least one mobile transceiver (200) based on a distinct transformation of the control plane address. The method further comprises providing (16) the user plane address.
