PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to prevent deterioration of a light source of an exposure apparatus, while preventing excess of toner on a high-density side in an edge part due to edge effect.SOLUTION: When a width q in a main-scanning direction of a solid image is equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold q_h, a control section of an image forming apparatus controls an exposure apparatus to execute micro-exposure on a predetermined area on a low-density side in an edge part of a solid image. When the width q is less than the threshold, the control section controls the exposure apparatus not to execute micro-exposure on the predetermined area on the low-density side in the edge part. |
