A mower deck gauge wheel support includes a one-piece sheet metal bracket 108 mounted to a mower deck, having a sleeve 110 mounted thereto outside a skirt of the mower deck, a wheel shaft 118 inserted through the sleeve, and a J-pin 102 having a first end that engages the wheel shaft at a desired cutting height, and a second end 107 that is engaged by and retained by a coil spring 104 within thebracket. In one embodiment, the wheel shaft has a plurality of vertically spaced holes and the J-pin passes through a hole in the wheel shaft and a pair of holes located on the bracket. The gauge wheel is therefore set at a plurality of different height. |
