PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression apparatus of an electronic document file, which can reduce a data amount of a whole document file, while quality of pages in which high resolution is requested is maintained.SOLUTION: A compression apparatus of an electronic document file includes: image resolution conversion means 20 which converts resolution of an image so that the resolution becomes a resolution defined in a job definition file when the image with the resolution which exceeds the resolution defined in the job definition file exists in individual pages constituting a document file: image compression means 30 for compressing the image whose resolution is converted and the image whose resolution is not converted; single page conversion means 40 which performs format conversion on elements except for the images of the individual pages in the document file including the compressed image and generates single page data; data amount calculation means 50 for calculating the total data amount of single page data corresponding to whole pages; and file integration means 55 for integrating the singe page data corresponding to the whole pages of the document file into a single file. |
