PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring device for an operating machine, which can further comprehensibly inform an operator of a state of planimetric features on the periphery.SOLUTION: An image generation device 100 which generates an output range image on the basis of an input range image imaged by a range image sensor 6 attached to a shovel 60 includes pixel extraction means 12 for correcting the input range image by extracting pixels having smaller pixel values than a distance between an installation surface and the range image sensor 6 among the pixels having the pixel values indicating the distances between planimetric features on the periphery of the shovel 60 and the range image sensor 6. |
