摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce PAPR and simplify a process for reducing PAPR in OFDM communication.SOLUTION: A modulation unit 11 generates a modulated signal from an input signal, and a serial-parallel conversion unit 12 performs serial-parallel conversion on the modulated signal. An insertion unit 13 inserts elements of a redundant signal at arbitrarily determined positions in the modulated signal on which the serial-parallel conversion has been performed, and generates data after insertion. An IFFT unit 14 performs inverse fast Fourier transformation on the data after insertion, and a synthesis unit 15 generates a baseband signal by synthesizing calculation results. A determination unit 16 calculates a peak to average power ratio of the baseband signal, and determines if the ratio satisfies a predetermined criterion. Until a baseband signal which satisfies the predetermined criterion is detected, processes by the insertion unit 13, the IFFT unit 14, the synthesis unit 15 and the determination unit 16 are repeated on different redundant signals. A transmission unit 17 generates a transmission signal from a baseband signal satisfying the predetermined criterion, and transmits the transmission signal through an antenna 10.
