PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently create a highly accurate analytic model from a three-dimensional model.SOLUTION: An information processing method includes: creating an initial mesh model indicating a surface shape of a three-dimensional model created with CAD (S201); detecting as a proximity point an apex or an edge of a component indicated by the initial mesh model away from a surface of another component indicated by the initial mesh model by a distance within a predetermined threshold (S205); performing edge collapse to the initial mesh model a predetermined number of times (S206); calculating an evaluation value indicating shape deviation between a simplified mesh model thus obtained and the initial mesh model for each apex or edge of the initial mesh model (S207); and repeating edge collapse a predetermined number of times of execution in ascending order of evaluation values of the apexes or edges and creating an analytic model in which the shape of the initial mesh model is simplified (S208). |
