Method and device for packaging small articles

The article together with its stick, is picked up individually by a first unit (10) and is carried continuously to a second unit (2) to complete at least a part of its packaging. The packaging material is supplied to the first unit (10). On the way between picking up the article and its delivery by the first unit, it is re-orientated by rotation through 90[deg]. Picking up is effected in a rotary movement. Packaging supply precedes accelerated motion of tongs used to fix the packaging to the article. An independent claim is included for corresponding equipment.
