PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in durability when a high-modulus organic fiber is used for a band cord in a tire in which a belt ply is formed by arranging strip ply pieces at intervals in a tire circumferential direction.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a pneumatic tire includes: a step K2 of forming a belt ply 7A by juxtaposing a plurality of strip ply pieces 17 P at intervals in a tire circumferential direction; and a step K3 of forming a band ply 9A by winding a long ply tape 19 spirally in the tire circumferential direction. A band cord 9C comprises a composite cord 32 in which a first strand 30 made of a high-modulus organic fiber and a second strand 31 made of a low-modulus organic fiber and thinner than the first strand 30 are twisted. |
