PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control apparatus configured to reduce false touch operations on an imaging apparatus having a vari-angle liquid crystal monitor.SOLUTION: A display control apparatus includes: a monitor unit 302 rotatably connected to a body unit 301 via a hinge unit 101; a touch panel 205 for detecting a touch operation on a display unit 28; a vari-angle state detection unit 201 which detects a relative position of the monitor unit 302 with respect to the body unit 301; and a system control unit. The control unit controls a first display item for receiving a touch operation to be displayed in a position closer to the hinge unit than a second display item not receiving a touch operation when the relative position is a first position, changes a positional relation between the first display item and the second display item to be displayed in the first position when the relative position is changed from the first position to the second position, and controls the first display item to be displayed in a position closer to the hinge unit 101 than the second display item.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
