PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a data amount of video data to be accumulated regarding a transport stream including video images of the same contents in which boundaries of GOP are not matched.SOLUTION: A video data reduction device comprises: a video identification section 103 for identifying a same-content interval in which contents of a video stream are the same as a video stream of another input stream regarding a plurality of input streams which are transport streams including video streams compression-coded for the unit of a GOP; a data deletion section 104 creating a data reduction stream by deleting data of a video stream of an included GOP while maintaining data of a video stream of a GOP which is included in the same content interval just partially, among GOP relating to the same content interval of the input stream in which the same content interval is identified by the video identification section; and a meta data creation section 105 for creating meta data of the GOP to be used for reproduction which is referenced when reproducing the data reduction stream, the meta data identifying an image to be reproduced among images included in the GOP. |
