PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development that satisfies both low-temperature fixability and excellent heat-resistant storability, and provides excellent chargeability and shatter resistance; and an image forming method.SOLUTION: A toner for electrostatic charge image development comprises: toner particles obtained by forming a shell layer on a core particle composed of a binder resin containing a styrene-acrylic copolymer resin; and an external additive. The shell layer is formed by containing a styrene-acrylic modified polyester resin obtained by joining a styrene-acrylic copolymer segment to a terminal of a polyester segment, and the content of the styrene-acrylic copolymer segment in the styrene-acrylic modified polyester resin is 5 mass% or more and 30 mass% or less. The external additive contains at least a composite inorganic fine particles composed of an inorganic compound containing silica fine particles, magnesium, and aluminum. |
