PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clear toner and a method for producing the clear toner giving high transparency to a clear toner layer to be formed and suppressing generation of uneven glossiness while maintaining fixation separation property, and to provide a method for forming a clear toner layer.SOLUTION: The clear toner comprises clear toner particles containing at least a binder resin and having an average particle diameter of 3 to 20 μm; in which the clear toner particles contain mineral oil. The method for producing the clear toner comprises producing a clear toner comprising clear toner particles containing at least a binder resin, mineral oil and a gelling agent that gels the mineral oil; and the method includes a step of obtaining a gel composition by mixing the mineral oil and the gelling agent while heating. The method for forming a clear toner layer is carried out by using the above clear toner. |
