A method of press forming according to the present invention is characterized in that the method includes a first forming step of forming a punch bottom portion 31a and side wall portions 31b in a product shape with a die 3 and a punch 5 until reaching a first bottom dead center, and forms an outer flange 31c and an inner flange 31d so that a linear length of an outer flange 31c in a longitudinal direction is shorter than a linear length of the flange portion in the product shape, and a linear length of a inner flange 31d in the longitudinal direction is longer than the linear length of the flange portion in the product shape; and a second forming step of forming the outer flange 31c and the inner flange 31d that are formed in the first forming step, in the product shape with the die and a flange forming die 7 until reaching a second bottom dead center, wherein the first forming step and the second forming step are performed by a single press forming process. |
